This piece of music by Edvard Grieg (1843-1907) is from 1897-99. It is from Lyric Pieces, book IX and is called Valse mélancolique.

Your interpretations of it and of Drommesyn work so well, I believe they have to be very close to what Grieg had in mind. I love his Lyric Pieces, and you have placed these two among my favorites.
