tommyberlioz: Congratulations on a great performance! In particular, I thought the tempo of the middle section was spot-on. I hope, then, you'll welcome some constructive criticism. (1) bar 37 is marked 'pp'; bar 40 is marked 'dim'. You started that section very loud indeed, and then got gradually louder -- the exact opposite of Brahms's text. (2) You added some significant rubato in bars 45--47 which, again, isn't marked. (3) Watch the right-hand legato fingering in the final bars -- try to reduce the pedal.

luigiperso: , shut the hell up and sit at the back of the class.

SaxSanchez33: keys softer at the end. Hey I really love this tune, and you're one of the better interpreters of Brahms pieces. As we know Brahms had big hands, but he had control over all his ligiments, therefore if we don't have that reach, we need to have even more control so we can play those 4 and 5 note chords softly, or loudly, and be sure you make the melody sing above the fluff. Overall its very good :-)

SaxSanchez33: quarter notes on the third page, its supposed to be soft, but because of the space of the notes, we tend to hit them harder, but be sure you have enough control to where you hit them softer, and you're very expressive at the Tempo 1 section, good job, but make sure you're louds are louds and your softs are soft, and don't speed up in between. oh on the transition from the A to B section get so quiet that its almost inaudible, its a nice effect. get softer, and in this case it means hitting the

SaxSanchez33: Hey man I like it, you keep it slow in the beginning, many players don't do that, they take it faster, but 60 bpm-70 is good, but you flucuated tempos in the eigth note add libs in the variation m.5 and 13, its okay to do a little put not enough to where it throws of listeners. the Allegretto section should be a tad bit faster, and be sure you have a good tempo feel throughout it. I felt it rushing in some places and slowing down in others. The jumps especially. oh and softer on those

anotherfoolonthehlLL: I can't believe these comments. Cubus . . . You are one of the finest Brahms interpreters I've ever heard. The subtle passion in your playing.. the painful restraint... you get it. You really get it. You are skilled in your hands... but equally in your heart. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. My god.. the depth with which you execute these pieces.... my god... you make me 'love'.... thank you..

Radeo: i agree

Vulturer: I'm loving every note.

klyde4parliament: This piece is so lush and beautiful that it is tempting to play it slow (and I often fall victim to that temptation) but I think it benefits from a faster pace. Nice recording though.

pianomangabe: beautiful piece and very well played.

behindtheaegis: get off your high horse, you fuck. this isn't a competition

redwoodmusic46: I'm also playing this piece right now :) I think it's pretty good ~you mainly just need a better piano! Also, you should try to fix the bad habit with your pinky finger curling when you're not using it...

lee20001000: Its great!! Loved it! Thanks!

egitnyc: I think you're not being fair. You can actually SEE the legato fingering. I think you're panning this because it's a digital piano. You can only hide behind the pedal to a certain extent.

Sari372: A bit too slow... But very nice=)

PianoMan8912: This needs no pedal work; totally legato. You are hiding under the pedal, and you are losing control. You are not together.... and the sound of a digital piano is always perfect. Try this on a real piano, do some legato work, and I'll reconsider the repost.

swingballbros: I really have to say (like lots of other people), that you have a phenomenal set of recordings on The Tube: every single one captures the whole piece perfectly, the emotion you create is astounding, unlike most other recordings on here. You've made this, along with the Op. 117, No. 1 Intermezzo two of my favourite pieces of all time, thanks so much mate.

Fretboarder7: Hmm, i'm view number 666, how ominous haha.

lilcomposer: this is a phenomenal recording. i have no idea why there are such few views of this.

Johannes Brahms: Op. 118, No. 5.
