veasleyd1: Or for other organ versions, search under
Psalm 42 ~ set to 'Geneva' . There are several
good internet sites dealing with the history and
influence of the 1551 Genevan Psalter.
veasleyd1: For people who want the organ sound, the basic
melody from the 1551 Geneva psalter is also
used as the tune for Comfort, Comfort, Ye, My
People.
szellajos: Indeed! Never thought of that but what an
obvious way to keep it legato. I'm gonna
amaze my teacher next week :)
hamptoncourt66: Fantastic !!!
Gaspy1909: This is the first person I've seen play it in a
way that they wouldn't have to use the pedal.
Notice how he / she holds down notes with his
4th (ring finger) while moving his 5th (pinky)
onto the same key to allow his 4th finger to be
free for the next note. I'm coming back to piano
after several years without playing and I have
to say this piece is the technically the hardest
to play of the first 5 if you play it without
the pedal.
abrahammulder: Nice, but I don't like this kind of pieces for
the piano, sounds better on a pipeorgan I think.
You can improvise a lot on this theme, a pitty
that Schumann didn't ! The theme played with
several improvisations is more suitable for the
piano and make it more interesting.
dustyjane: Love it. Thank you.
musicamusement: Beautiful piece and played with great feeling!
Your piano sounds marvelous!

MichalekM91: i'd like to hear it on pipe organs ;)
WatchBlueSkies: nice !
a bit too slow, but that makes it sounds very
relaxing to me :)
