This piece of music by Erik Satie (1866-1925) is from 1913. It is from the work 'Enfantillages Pittoresques' consisting of 3 pieces: 1. Petit prélude à la journée, 2. Berceuse and 3. Marche du grand escalier.

to be a precursor to modern 'ambient' music.
i've got some program notes somewhere from a
performance of my own a while back, i'll pull em
and pm them to you if you're interested in
some background info/musicology/history.
MDkid1: I've always felt that Satie was way ahead of
his time. This is more like something you would
here today, possibly in some kind of remix
version of a song.
